Papaya and Kiwi Smoothie

When writing the first draft of my upcoming smoothie book, Skinny Smoothies, I did a lot of research into different fruits and what exactly they helped you with in terms of weight loss or detox and so on. So, one of the things I learned was that Papaya is great for detox.

Papaya is extremely high in fiber, providing 25 percent of your daily value fiber is an important part of cleansing the gastrointestinal tract, as it aids in binding to and flushing out toxins. Papayas also contain an enzyme called papain which helps in digesting proteins. It plays an important role in maintaining digestive health and utilizing proteins while cleansing. That is fancy talk for papayas are good for you and since they taste great too why not add them to your smoothies?

Mango Madness Smoothie

This is a delicious mango smoothie. Very tangy and sweet just like a ripe mango. You will also find an odd ingredient here, at least for a smoothie: cardamom. why add cardamom? It is a good stimulant and beneficial for those suffering from flatulence and gas (stomach cramps). Cardamom also helps in cleansing the body as it has detoxifying properties. Cardamom enhances appetite and provides relief from acidity in the stomach. And, believe it or not, cardamom is used in treating halitosis.

Raspberry Strawberry smoothie

What’s almost as good as strawberries and cream? How about raspberries and cream. And what the heck, we’ll throw in some strawberries too. This super red, super good smoothie combines the best of two delicious fruits: raspberries and strawberries to make a smoothie that is probably already making you salivate…and that just the picture of this wonderful raspberry smoothie.
